An email newsletter with information and updates on Parkinson’s.

Additional educational supplements.
Help with connecting you to a support group (like ours!) and others in your area.
Outside resources and services on living with PD, like fall prevention classes, exercise classes, etc.
Resources for the newly diagnosed.
Referrals for Movement Disorders and Parkinson’s Specialists, General Neurologists, Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and other heath care professionals and services.
Free Hospitalization Kit
For Parkinson’s patients, any medical setback is a major setback — especially if they have to be hospitalized. In the hospital, 3 out of 4 Parkinson’s patients do not get their medications on time — and 61% of them had major complications because of it. Fortunately, the National Parkinson’s Foundation has a free kit to help PD families plan and prepare for both unplanned (emergency) and planned hospital stays.
Head on over to AwareInCare.org to request your free kit.
Fox Trial Finder
One newer tool for Parkinson’s patients, families, and those passionate about finding a cure for the disease is the Fox Trial Finder.
By signing up for the Fox Trial Finder, you’ll get matched to trials every time you login. As they expand and update their system, you’ll receive email alerts when they have a new trial match. Most trials for our area are located in major areas like Los Angeles and San Francisco, which would be hard for many of us to travel to for participation. However, some trials can be done by mail (like the Smell Survey) and via one-time appointments (like for DNA marker mapping.)
